A NIGHT TO HONOR HERMAN MHIRE

This year, the Hilliard Art Museum celebrates its 20th anniversary. We invite you to celebrate this milestone with a spectacular gala to honor the founding director, Herman Mhire. The festivities will coincide with the opening of the spectacular exhibition, Rodin: Towards Modernity.

The 2024 Hilliard Art Museum Gala, A Night to Honor Herman Mhire, will take place on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. The museum plaza will be transformed into a French garden with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a seated dinner on the front lawn. The Hilliard will also host a symposium the following morning from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the LITE Center.

This year, sponsors are invited to an exclusive preview of Rodin: Towards Modernity at 5:30 pm before the gala begins. The exhibition will feature masterworks by the legendary French artist, Auguste Rodin, including more than 40 bronze sculptures on loan from the prestigious Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Foundation. Be among the first to see some of Rodin’s most celebrated works – The Burghers of Calais, The Kiss, Saint John the Baptist, and several figure studies for The Gates of Hell, as well as portraits of Honoré de Balzac.
